The proprietor of Cafe Sewciety Quilts is Judy Merritt, who has been sewing for 20 years and 15 years in quilt making. Judy has done exhibits for businesses and in galleries. She has taught privately and in local quilt shops as well as lectured on the art and history of quilt making.

She has exhibited her quilts in:

• BT Roberts Memorial Art Gallery, Inaugural Exhibit, 2004
• Earthtones Coffee House, Rochester, NY, 2005
• Northeastern Seminary Gallery, Roberts Wesleyan College, the "Whispers of Mercy, Remnants of Grace" Contemporary Art Quilt Exhibit, 2008
